Sakib Saboor (b. 1999, Tønsberg) is a photographer and visual artist based between Tønsberg and Oslo, Norway. He holds a BA in Digital Marketing from Kristiania University College, where he specialized in photojournalism.
His artistic practice revolves around visual storytelling and explorations of identity, memory and belonging, often examining the relationship between past and future. Working within a documentary framework, he combines analogue and digital techniques to reflect on how personal and collective histories overlap.
His works have been exhibited across Norway, including at Fotogalleriet, Kunsthall Oslo, Fotografiens Hus, Østlandsutstillingen 2025 (Nitja Centre for Contemporary Art & Galleri Fjordheim), and the photo festival Oslo Negativ (2022 and 2025). His work is represented in the collections of Preus Museum and the Møller Collection.
In addition to his artistic projects, Saboor works extensively with commissioned and collaborative photography within the arts and cultural field. His work spans personal narratives, institutional collaborations and editorial assignments, combining a documentary sensibility with a strong visual language.
He has collaborated with several leading cultural institutions and events, including Oslo Kunstforening, Fotogalleriet, MUNCH, the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO), Forbundet Frie Fotografer (FFF), Oslo Open and Oslo Art Weekend.
His experience in the arts and media landscape has given him a deep understanding of how visual narratives function across both artistic and communicative contexts, allowing him to move fluidly between documentary, promotional and conceptual photography.
Alongside his work as a photographer, Saboor is a communications specialist with a background in marketing, branding and strategic storytelling. He currently works as Communications Advisor at Transcultural Arts Productions (TrAP) and previously held a permanent position as Digital Advisor at Fotogalleriet.
As a freelance consultant, he offers services in campaign development, social media management, content creation and event documentation, helping organizations, brands and cultural institutions reach the right audience with the right message. His clients and collaborators range from major arts institutions to festivals and private companies, where he focuses on building brand presence, producing engaging visual content and developing holistic communication strategies.
He also serves on the boards of JM Norway, a youth music network with an international focus, and Fett magazine, contributing to cultural development and representation in Norway.
